MY MUSIC VIDEO: MOODBOARD

Create a mood board for your music video, either physically using glue and scissors, or digitally. Upload it to your blog; write a short entry on why you have used what you have on the board and it conforms to the expectations of your music genre.

BRIGHT COLOURS
I will be including a variety of colours in my music video as I want it to seem as it it is popping out. I will try to relate some of the main colours to the album cover of the song 'Nitten Nitti', with the use of yellows, oranges, pinks and purples.

MOVEMENT
I am planning to have Indigo, my sister who will be nine at the time of filming, to roller skate. My music video will focus mainly on her. I am wanting for her to roller skate to the beat of the song.

VARIETY OF LOCATIONS AND MISE-EN-SCÈNE
I am planing to film my music video in Javea, Spain. This is where I am going on holiday and I know a variety of places to film.
I am still unsure whether to film it on the Arenal Beach, which is much more commercial and popular with tourists, or to film in the old part of Javea, with much more old fashioned buildings.

Filming on the Arenal would mean I have access to a
beach, shops and bright colours, however it is much more busy and harder to film.
If I were to film in the old town it would be easier to film, and Indigo (the girl who will be rollerskating) will stand out more.

I am also unsure when to film it. If I were to film it in the morning there would be less people and it would therefore be less confusing, however if i were to film it at night, there would be stalls up and bright lights, but it would be very busy.

VARIETY OF LOOKS
I am wanting to dress my sister up in bright clothes so that she will stand out and bring attention to my music video.

MULTIPLE PEOPLE
Obviously, as i am focusing on my sister she will be a very important part of the music video and the main person. At the moment I am unsure about who else i will include, other than people already around where I am filming.
I have an idea of what the other person could be doing, but I am not quite sure at the moment who it will be.

QUICK EDITING
I am planning on editing my frames of Indigo relatively normally, not going too fast or too slow, but I think I will only have short frames and faster edits when cutting to the other person.

INTERTEXTUALITY
When researching into types of music videos I found one by Chet Faker called Gold. it features three women roller skating at night on a road. This links to the theme of roller skating, but I am planning to make mine more innocent as I will be filming a nine year old, and not an adult.
Another music video I have seen that links to the theme of roller skating while researching is Sigala - Sweet Lovin' ft. Bryn Christopher. I like the use of smoke bombs on the back of the roller skates, but i feel as if this may be a bit too antisocial to do in public without a permit.
I also found another music video while researching the theme of roller skating and found the music video for Avicii - You Make Me. all of the people in this music video are on roller skates. As I only know one person who can roller skate well and I will have access to, I will only be able to film her. My music video will also be a lot more innocent, being less about love and more about exploration of a place.

VARIETY OF SHOT DISTANCE AND ANGLES
I am wanting to include a collection of different shots. The majority of them will most probably be mid-shots and long-shots in order to see what is happening, however I am also planning to include dolly shots, close ups, extreme close ups and establishing shots.
I think my angles will mainly be eye level, however I will also include lower angle and oblique/canted angles. I am wanting to avoid using too many high angled shots as i want to make my sister look empowered and strong, instead of belittling her and making her seem vulnerable.
